SDR (Sales Development Representative) is an entry-level sales role focused on the top of the sales funnel. SDRs prospect for new leads, qualify inbound inquiries, and book meetings for Account Executives. Also called BDR (Business Development Representative) at some companies.
SDR Responsibilities
Primary activities:
- Qualify inbound leads (MQLs)
- Execute outbound prospecting sequences
- Research target accounts and contacts
- Book qualified meetings for AEs
- Update CRM with activity and notes
